Yesterday was the 29th of February – if it was your birthday, happy birthday to you!!
February, you have flown by me without so much as a “hello”. So much time has gone and yet so little has been accomplished. Like walking down a fast-paced street when you are the only one in slow-mo mode.
Here are some of the things I am grateful for about you, February:
KMS
I finally got a music teacher and boy does the brother give homework. I love it none-the-less. I didn’t plan on acquiring a piano (That should tell you how short notice my Music Adventure was), however, I managed to find one and have since been attempting to make music.
A well-learned musician wasn’t amused when he found out I chose to go to KMS and not to him. You see his argument was KMS is going to teach me old school classical and he would be able to teach me contemporary and would have me playing in not time.
One thing 2012 has taught me, is not to rush ‘it’ – I am not looking for the fastest shortcut to playing the piano. As weird as it sounds, I am in it for the journey, the beauty of discovery and the wonderful difficulty of resetting mindsets.
Knitting
After two trial berets, I am finally on the real deal. Using thread coloured, Dye – I was into Number 3 when i realised that the beret was too loose. I was already done with one ball of thread at that point. Disappointed, I cast it aside for a couple of weeks. When I finally started on it again, I had to unravel it and start from scratch. I am hopeful that Attempt Number 4 is going to be fabulous.
Resources
I am actually into deriving inspiration from everywhere – literally. I remember watching project runway and thinking to myself – Knitting. I should pick it up. This month, it’s been WITU & ANTM. For WITU it was the realisation that I can use my blog for much much more than venting to the world – I can actually be the voice of/in my community. For the Television shows, I just think that those shows are amazing – From Project Runway, ABDC to ANTM, there is something about watching people go after their dreams – From their attitude to character, sometimes makes you want to chase your dream till you grab it by the tail and yank it toward you.
Death
I was introduced to her but watching Bodyguard and listening to the CD that my parents had. My absolute Favourite song of hers was, Run To You; Second Fave, How Will I Know; Third Fave, I wanna Dance With Somebody… Death can seem so far away when we are so busy and engrossed with our lives, yet she stands right next to us. You know those icons who you kindda think in the back of your head that they will always be there… Whitney was one of those.
Yesterday
I actually started writing this post yesterday, it was an okay day, nothing out of the ordinary – It actually started fine with me taking on the Cassava route meeting a couple of friends and the way and it was all cool. Until i got back to my desk and faced a blast from my past. The amazing how the consequences of someone’s careless attitude can follow you. That one glimpse stuck with me. Stuck of refused to be shaken off, for the rest of the day my aura just plummeted into depression.
I’m annoyed at how easily suggestion can ruin my heart attitude.
March Lessons Learned
Guard your heart simply means when suggestions comes in, fight back with what you know to be true not what you assume is right.
I am Loved. I am Beheld. I am on His Heart + Mind EVERY nano-second of EVERYday.

Welcome March, we march on!
Marching… Marching…. Marrrrrrrrccchhhhinnnnggggggggg!!!
(bows to receiving standing ovation)
